Offers & Series

Create image galleries and overviews of the offers and series set up in your media management in picturemaxx Backstage.

Add Offers/Series establishes a connection to picturemaxx Backstage and displays the featured visuals on your website. The advantage is that offers and series are created solely in one place but can be displayed in several places on your website. All images are directly linked to your webshop.

 

1. Add Offers/Series

Offers help you showcase latest photos or videos from an event. When you add the latest images to an existing offer in Backstage, they always appear on top of the offer overview gallery. This makes offers a great marketing tool.

Series are especially useful for topical or stylish image collections.

    1. In Main Administrative Menu, navigate to Content.
    2. In the Content Overview table, select a page to add Offers/Series to, and click Edit. 
    3. Scroll the Edit template down and from the Add Section dropdown select Add Offer/Series - Overview or Add Offer/Series - Single Offer/Series.
    4. In the Headline area, enter a name or description text (optional). The editor menu allows applying a Format and/or Style to the text.
    5. Configure the filter and display options. For details, see the Setup page fields section below.
    6. Choose a background color for the paragraph (optional). To learn how to add new background colors, refer to Change Look & Feel (2. Background Colors for Paragraph Types).

  • Filter Options

    Type to retrieve
    Choose between Offers and Series.

    Channel Only available for offers
    Filter the offers by a selected channel (landscapes, people, wildlife, etc.). Important: Make sure the selected channel has no metadata restrictions defined in Backstage.

    Subtype Only available for series
    Filter the series by a selected subtype (collections, recipes, videos, etc.). 

     

    Display Options

    Output Style
    Choose between four layout options: CSS-Columns, CSS-GRID, Masonry-Layout, Justified Layout

    Spacing
    Add space between items. We don't recommend using wide margins with more than three columns. 

    Maximum number of items
    Specify a maximum amount of offers/series per display. If you go beyond the maximum amount of 50-70 items, it may cause delay in page loading time. 

    Number of Columns
    Set a specific number of columns.

    Background Colour Paragraph
    Choose a custom background color.

    Use Grayscale
    Change images from grayscale to color on hover.

    Use scroll effect
    Apply a simple scroll effect for images. Use wide margins and few columns for best visual results. 

    Use »Load more« button
    Add the button to show more media items available in the selected offer or series. The items load dynamically and are displayed within the current view. 

    Show Title
    Display offers or series with their title.

    Show Description
    Display a media item with caption if available. 

    Show Full Width
    Enable this option to use the full-page width.

    Open links in new window
    Make activated offers or series open in a new browser tab. 

    Published
    Make activated offers or series publicly visible.

  • Single

     

  • Select from BACKSTAGE

    Add an offer or a series set up in Backstage to display it on the page. Start typing a name in the autocomplete search box and it will dynamically suggest search results.

    NOTE: It may take some time to display/refresh the offer or series on a page, because the content is cached to make the page faster. To update the content, re-select the offer/series in the Offer name field and save the page.

Before publishing the page:

  • Click Preview to make sure everything looks the way you want. You can preview any change before publishing it. 
  • To return to the Edit page, click Back to content editing.
  • To make new content visible on your website, turn on the Content is live (published) option.
  • Click Save to store your changes. The website content items are listed on the Content page.
