Upload & edit media
It is important that you always have a good overview of your media items. In the Media area (Content → Media) you can upload, delete, publish, unpublish and clone one or several items. Learn how to add, edit, and delete various asset types:
1. Upload media
To add media content to your library, navigate to Content → Media → Upload .. You can add multiple files and upload them all at once.
picturemaxx Drupal allows uploading a variety of different formats:

The following file types can be used to upload images: .jpg, .png, .gif.
Important: We do not recommend uploading hi-res images. Optimize images for the web before uploading them to help your pages load faster and ultimately benefit your SEO.

There are two audio file types available to work with: aac & .mp3.

Numerous file types can be used to upload documents.

Only videos in .mp4 format can be uploaded.
2. Manage media
You can view and manage the uploaded media items in Content → Media.
The Edit dropdown next to the item offers Edit, Clone, Translate, and Delete operations for this media item.
To Delete, Publish, Unpublish one or multiple media items, select them and scroll the page down to the Action dropdown menu. Choose an action and click Apply to selected items.
Important: If you delete or unpublish an item, it is removed from every page where it is currently published.
Video: Go to Content → Media to view and manage the uploaded media content.
2.1. Edit images
Navigate to Content → Media (as seen in the video above) to edit your existing images: add alternative text and description, crop an image, and more.

Alternative text
A short description of the image used by screen readers and displayed when the image is not loaded.NOTE: Useful alternative text is an essential part of making your website content accessible.
Crop images
picturemaxx CMS offers a number of formats for image display. For each format you can choose a part of the image to display.NOTE: The image crop defined here will be applied wherever the image is displayed.
Link
You can link an image to content on your website or external content.Description
You can add a description text to your images. The text is then displayed in a Collection, for example.Linking
Here you can assign Categories (see Taxonomy) and link images to Artists portfolio.
