View Section

Use this paragraph type to display your latest News Articles, ArtistsDepartmentsTeamPublications, or EventsEach time you create a content element, the View Section updates dynamically.

Note: View Section can only be added to the Basic Page content type.

1. Add a View Section

    • In Main Administrative Menu, navigate to Content.
    • In the Content Overview table, select a page to add a View Section to, and click Edit
    • Go to the bottom of the Edit template form and select Add View Section from the Add Section dropdown menu.
    • In the Headline area, enter a name or description text (optional). The Editor menu allows applying a Format and/or Style to the text.
    • Configure the Display Options. The Setup page fields section below explains how to tailor your View Section display.  
    • Choose a background color, image or video for the paragraph. To learn how to add new background colors, refer to Change Look & Feel (2. Background Colors for Paragraph Types).

  • Headline
    Use the text editor tool to add free-form text at the top of the paragraph type. .

    View
    Choose a view element: Artist, Department, Team, Publications, Events or News Overview.

    Display
    Choose a display type for the view element selected in View. The display type options depend on the content to be displayed:

    • ARTIST
      Extended Preview:
      Glossary:
      List-Style:
      Master:
    • TEAM
      Master and Department Members show team members using different displays
    • PUBLICATIONS
      Master option displays all created publications
    • EVENTS
      Archive shows all events, including expired ones, Master and Preview show events using different displays
    • NEWS
      Master displays all news, Teaser displays three latest news

    Department
    Please ignore the Department field for the time beeing as we are still working on this for you. As soon as it's available, we will let you know. 

    Team Member
    Filter the view result by one or more team members. Can be applied to all the view elements, if the pages were tagged to a team member.

    Tags
    Filter the view result by tags. This option only applies to Events, Publications, and News Overviews.

    Display Options


    Add Media
    Add an image or video as a background to your View Section.

     

2. View Section Displays

  • Extended Preview: This style allows you to display up to five preview images per artist. The cities from which they work are also displayed, in the upper left corner. 
    Master: This style allows you to display one preview images per artist. 
    List-Style: The list focuses more on names, places and themes. You can upload one photo per artist as a thumbnail. 
    Glossary: Only the names of the artists are displayed. The columns are divided according to the first letter of the artist's surname.

    View Section News Overview

     

Before publishing a page:

  • Click Preview to make sure everything looks the way you want. You can preview any change before publishing it. 
  • To return to the Edit page, click Back to content editing.
  • To make new content visible on your website, turn on the Content is live (published) option.
  • Click Save to store your changes. The website content items are listed on the Content page.
